● Mission Statement 

To empower middle and high school students in the Tri-Cities area through sustained academic support, mentorship, and community engagement—cultivating a cohort of young leaders who thrive in school, contribute to their communities, and grow into confident, capable graduates celebrated at AACCES’ Senior Awards Night. 

● Vision Statement 

We envision a future where every student in our cohort rises with purpose—supported by a network of mentors, families, and peers—achieving academic excellence, building lifelong skills, and becoming agents of positive change in their communities.

Educational Programs

Useful information for middle and high school students.

Gear Up

The WSU Tri-Cities GEAR UP program (Gaining Early Awareness for Undergraduate Programs) works primarily with middle school students.  GEAR UP - WSU Tri-Cities.

Upward Bound

The Upward Bound program provides high school students (grades 9-11) with help graduating from high school and college preparedness.  The Upward Bound program is on the CBC campus Upward Bound.

Running Start

Running Start works with high school juniors and seniors.  Running Start program at WSU Tri-Cities this program is tuition free for its participants.  CBC also has a Running Start program.
